PeaceWorks is a non-profit 501(c)3 charity providing assistance for survivors of relationship violence/abuse: intimate partner violence (IPV), domestic violence, teen dating violence and stalking; sex trafficking and sexual assault outside of relationship violence. PeaceWorks owns and operates Safe Shelter, a temporary secure and confidential home for individuals, families and pets that are experiencing IPV. But, it is so much more.
The shelter began in the basement of a community member who saw the need to create a safe space for the victims in her town experiencing IPV. Since then, that vision has grown, and PeaceWorks and its programming and services are the fruit of that vision.

Jon & The Locals perform a song list ranging from Johnny Cash to Tom Petty, Dwight Yoakum to Amos Lee. At the center of the group of highly talented musicians is Jon Lundberg, the engaging lead singer, whose stage presence, energy and good-natured humor creates a natural connection with the audience. Jon & The Locals are going to be a wonderful way to open the Boogie at the Bear. DON'T MISS IT!

Dwight Carrier popularly known as, “The Black Cat” has become one of the most exciting Zydeco Accor-dionist of this era. He has been able to share his musical talents all over the world including places such as; Italy, Sicily, Paris France, Central America and many parts of Canada. His influences include everyone from Clifton Chenier to James Brown with a little old time Zydeco and R&B for good measure. The “Black Cat” has recently returned from a nationwide tour with 2013 Grammy Nominated Artist, Andre Thierry. He has also performed with; “The Red Rocker” (Sammy Hagar), former bass/guitarist for James Brown “Robert Wat-son” and world class musician, Bobbie (Spider) Webb to name a few.
